Music and Lyrics

The man who was strumming his guitar in the wildest manner possible.. the man to whom Dhwani meant everything.. the man who brought her out of pain, despair and insanity or so he thought.. the man who Dhwani respected and liked... Sujay...
It was an year since Ved had last spoken to Dhwani. Dhwani’s parents had started seeking an alliance for their daughter. They had given her a picture of a guy called Sujay. Some Sujay. How could they even think that he can replace Ved. How can they expect her to forget everything and say yes to a random guy they were seeking for her.

Sujay ..... a very practical guy... A guy to whom girls wouldn’t readily be attracted.. he was not soft by any means... rough.. hard... tough.. whatever you can describe a very aloof and detached person to be... To Sujay, the world is a happy place, as long as you can keep yourself happy and do everything possible to keep yourself happy ! There were two things that kept him happy... Guitar and sports. Name it he played t…

I'm Ready

Music... It was Dhwani’s passion. She saw it as her friend. Her best friend. But today why did she feel it was tormenting her. Though there was a certain string pulling her from within. She then remembered what she had told Ved... Ved.. the man of her dreams... She told him she felt exactly the way Mr.Rochester felt, in one of her favourite books, Jane Eyre. She recollected the dialogue

“It feels as though I had a string tied here under my left rib where my heart is, tightly knotted to you in a similar fashion. And when you go to Ireland, with all that distance between us, I am afraid that this cord will be snapped, and I shall bleed inwardly.”
She was bleeding...Bleeding inwardly... two years ago... The wounds were still there... She recollected the times when she had only AR Rehman for company. It was her dope.. His songs were the tranquilizers she needed. But she didn’t want to go back to those memories. She wanted to go farther down the memory lane. To September 8th. When Ved had b…

A walk to remember

I thought its high time I write again... Fear of losing my writing skills forced me to open a word doc and type a series of events that have been playing in my mind for the last two years. I was postponing it as it was not an easy task for me. I am not good at writing books. I can just speak my mind out. I cant project her emotions. Her love. But she wanted me to write. I had to write.. For Dhwani It has no particular beginning, nor an end. It is about Dhwani (name changed on request).. A girl I know so well. More than anybody else. Series of short stories on my blog dedicated to my dearest Dhwani and to the Vedant she loved ! It is not for the joy of writing that I am doing this but for the joy of speaking on behalf of Dhwani.. A toast to her !

It was a rather misty day ! Dhwani was traveling to her office in the wee hours of the day. It was going to be a long day at work. Not because she had lots to do in office. She was now used to it. This was because her mind was covered with a ce…
